Wider streaming choice to cause 150 mln SVOD cancellations in 2022 - study

International expansion of streaming platforms and greater competition will prompt the cancellation of at least 150 million paid subscriptions to streaming video-on-demand (SVOD) services next year, according to data from Deloitte Global. Although churn rates may be as high as 30 percent in some markets, more subscriptions will be added than cancelled overall and the average number of subscriptions per person will rise, said the report.
