Wind River launches industrial IoT platform

Intel's Wind River subsidiary made available a software platform for the industrial IoT market. Named Titanium Control, the platform is an on-premise cloud-scale infrastructure enabling critical infrastructure companies to upgrade aging legacy control systems not previously designed to support the connected nature of the Internet of Things (IoT). Optimised for Intel Xeon processors and pre-validated on hardware from large providers of Intel-based servers, Titanium Control virtualises traditional physical subsystems using a platform based on open standards.
