Windows Phone share drops below 1% in Spain

Sales of Windows Phone handsets fell to just 0.8 percent of the Spanish market in the three months to January, Microsoft's worst result in four years, according to the latest smartphone sales data from Kantar WorldPanel ComTech. A year ago, Windows Phone-powered smartphones accounted for 2.5 percent of the Spanish market, down from a high of 7.5 percent in mid-2014. Android continued to dominate Spanish smartphone sales in the three months to January, accounting for 87.8 percent of the market, up from 86.7 percent a year ago, while iPhones accounted for 11.4 percent of sales, down from 10.4
