Wireless charging takes off in 2017 with nearly 500 mln devices shipped

Nearly 500 million consumer devices with wireless charging shipped around the world last year, an increase of 40 percent from 2016, according to IHS. The increase was driven by the addition of wireless charging on flagship smartphones from Samsung and Apple.
