Workers cast doubt on Telekom Austria-America Movil pact

The Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour continues to criticise the 23 April agreement between state holding company Osterreichische Industrieholding (OIAG) and America Movil that paved the way for the Mexican company to take control of Telekom Austria. Its director general Werner Muhm says blocking minorities are insufficient for an active policy to protect Austrian interests. The chambers says that an analysis it commissioned from law firm Gahleitner shows that after shareholder representatives stepped down from the OIAG supervisory board in February, replacements should have been elected
