Worldwide PC shipments continue their decline, down 2% in Q4

Friday 12 January 2018 | 12:13 CET | News
Worldwide PC shipments fell again in the fourth quarter and full year 2017, the 13th consecutive quarterly and the sixth year of annual decline, according to the latest preliminary study from Gartner. For the quarter, shipments fell 2 percent to USD 71.6 million units. For the year, shipments decreased by 2.8 percent to USD 262.5 million. Still, Gartner said there some signs for optimism, with Q4 shipment growth in Asia/Pacific, Japan and Latin and only a moderate decline in EMEA. The US continues to show steep declines, offsetting gains elsewhere.
