Wow! appoints new CEO, announces new share USD 50 mln share buyback programme

US operator WideOpenWest (wow!) has announced the appointment of a new CEO and the completion of the sale to Verizon of its Chicago fibre network. The company also approved a new share buyback programme worth USD 50,000. Teresa Elder will be new CEO at Wow! She will succeed Steven Cochran, retiring after 15 years with the company. Cochran will stay on in an advisory role to end June. Elder served as a founding president of Clearwire Wholesale (sold to Sprint), and before that as CEO of Vodafone Ireland and president of AT&T Broadband West (now Comcast).
