Xiaomi becomes top smartphone vendor in India, overtakes Samsung

Thursday 25 January 2018 | 10:58 CET | News
India's smartphone market has seen a change at the top, with Xiaomi now leading with shipments of nearly 8.2 million units in the fourth quarter of 2017. Despite annual growth of 17 percent, Samsung failed to maintain its lead, shipping around 7.3 million smartphones to take second place, according to a report from Canalys.
