Xiaomi introduced a new version of its smart band and more smart home products at an event in Beijing.

The Mi Smart Band 4 comes with a new full colour Amoled display and 40 percent increase in screen size compared to its predecessor. Able to display over 16 million colors, along with 77 customized themes, Mi Smart Band 4 allows users to view fitness stats, messages and notifications at a glance. The new 6-axis sensor supports more accurate activity tracking and also introduces a new swim-track mode, Xiaomi said. It also supports offline payments via AliPay and the XiaoAi AI assistant for voice control of other connected devices. The Mi Smart Band 4 is available starting from CNY 169, with five colours of strap to choose from.

Xiaomi also presented the new Mi Smart Door Lock, which can work with the NFC on the Mi Smart Band to open the door. The smart lock notifies users of any door activity in real time and can connect to other smart home appliances for automated settings. It's priced at CNY 1,699.

Xiaomi also is expanding its appliances range with the Mi Smart Combo Wash Dryer Pro 10kg. Priced at CNY 2,999, it can receive OTA updates and be controlled with voice commands from the XiaoAi AI assistant. Also new for the kitchen are the Mi Smart Kitchen Exhaust Hood and Stove Top Set and Mi Induction Cooker Set.

For personal use, Xiaomi showed a pocket translater for English and Chinese, which can connect over Wi-Fi and 4G when travelling, as well as its own range of rollerball pens and luggage. Finally, the Mi Ninebot Dynamic is a pair of e-skate type hover shoes, available for CNY 999.
