Wednesday 26 October 2016 | 09:59 CET | News
India's smartphone market expanded by over 20 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of this year, as shipments passed the 30 million units milestone. Samsung's shipments grew in line with the market. The company continued to lead the market with a share of around 20 percent, according to a report from Canalys. The report also indicates that shipments from local players Micromax, Intex and Lava declined year-on-year, allowing Lenovo to move above Micromax and into second place for the first time. Xiaomi ranked fourth, more than doubling its second-quarter shipments.
