Xiaomi plans to open Kenyan store by March

Smartphone maker Xiaomi is set to open its first Nairobi office as part of a plan to counter the dominance of Chinese rivals including Transsion Holdings, Business Daily reported. Xiaomi has indicated that its first Kenya office will be in place by March. Currently, Xiaomi uses vendors including Jumia and Avechi.com to ship its brands into Kenya.
