Thursday 9 July 2015 | 11:12 CET | News
Chinese company Xiaomi has sold all of its initial stock of the Redmi 2, its first smartphone available on the Brazilian market, reports Mndobit. Xiaomi held its first online sales event on 7 July and the next one is scheduled for 17 July, with open registration online. The company's strategy for Brazil is to offer the Redmi exclusively online. Priced at BRL 499, the Redmi 2 has emerged as a strong competitor in the mid-range smartphone market, currently dominated by big names like Asus (with the Zenfone 5) and Motorola (Moto G and E).
