Xiaomi unveils Mi Note 10 with 108 MP penta camera from EUR 549

Xiaomi has unveiled the latest flagship smartphone in its premium Mi Note series at an event in Madrid. The Mi Note 10 comes with what the Chinese vendor describes as the world’s first 108-megapixel penta camera setup as well as a 6.47-inch Super Amoled panel with Full HD+ resolution, a fingerprint scanner under the display and a 5260mAh battery with the company’s new 30W fast wireless charging technology. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset, plus 6 GB RAM and includes 128GB storage, a headphone jack but no microSD slot.

In a statement Xiaomi said the Mi Note 10’s 108MP main camera is designed to take mobile photography to the next level and can produce billboard-level prints up to 4.24 meters high. It uses the 1/1.33-inch Samsung Isocell Bright HMX sensor combined with a 5 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, another 12 MP with 2x zoom at 50mm focal length for portraits, a 20 MP wide-angle lens and a macro lens that allows closeup shots from up to 1.5 cm, another industry first. The front-facing camera comes with a 32MP sensor plus f/2.0 aperture and is located in the waterdrop notch of the screen.

The Mi Note 10 is essentially the global version of the recently unveiled Mi CC9 Pro, with the Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition set to be marketed internationally as the Mi Note 10 Pro. The latter comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and will cost EUR 649 when launched at an undisclosed future date.

The Mi Note 10 will go on sale in Spain in the colours Aurora Green, Glacier White and Midnight Black on 15 November for EUR 549. It will be available via Xiaomi’s official sales channels and through operators including Movistar, Orange, Vodafone and Yoigo.
