
Xiaomi announced that the Redmi 7, the latest smartphone under its low-cost Redmi brand, will be available in China from 26 March in three versions with different internal storage capacities. The new smartphone will retail at CNY 699 for the 2GB+16GB version, CNY 799 for the 3GB+32GB version and CNY 999 for the 4GB+64GB model.
Powered by Android 9, the smartphone has a 6.26-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset (4x1.8 GHz Kryo 250 Gold, 4x1.8 GHz Kryo 250 Silver), microSD slot for cards up to 512 GB, 12 MP main camera, 8 MP selfie camera, and 4000 mAh battery. It supports Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, hotspot), Bluetooth and GPS and comes equipped with fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, and compass sensors.
