Yahoo Japan to set up new company to drive financial services business

Yahoo Japan has announced plans to create two new subsidiaries, in order to develop its financial services business more. Going forward it will have two new subsidiaires, one to continue its traditional internet services business and the other focused on financial services. The new companies and holding structure will be established in May and remain subject to shareholder approval at a meeting in June, with an expected start date of 01 October.
