Yoigo says handset subsidy system unsustainable

Spanish mobile operator Yoigo believes that the handset subsidy system in not sustainable anymore. The statement was made by Yoigo CEO Johan Andsjo at a meeting with journalists organized by El Mundo, ADSL Zone reports. Smartphone acquisition by installments is the future, Andsjo added. According to the CEO, these installments should be integrated in the customer's monthly bill, without involving third-party financial services providers as Movistar and Vodafone are doing.
