Yoigo to offer 4G access to MVNOs including Telecable

Monday 5 October 2015 | 10:37 CET | News
Spanish mobile operator Yoigo has approached regional broadband operator Telecable, present in the Asturias region, with an offer to become its 4G network provider, according to unnamed sources cited by business daily El Economista. Telecable has recently been acquired by investment vehicle Zegona and its current MVNO contract with Vodafone is due to expire by the end of the year. Yoigo's move comes after the decision published by communications regulator CNMC in July in which Telefonica was ordered to cancel a clause requiring Yoigo to seek its permission to offer 4G services to other MVNOs.
