Yota Devices to launch LTE smartphone by year-end

Russian company Yota Devices has agreed with Singapore company Hi-P on assembly of its YotaPhone smartphone, reports RBC. Yota Devices is opening a R&D centre and Asian branch in Singapore. Sales of the YotePhone LTE device are expected to start in Russia in Q4. CEO Vlad Martynov told Bloomberg that the company is negotiating with MegaFon and "large operators" developing 4G networks in Europe, South Africa and Asia to offer the YotaPhone. The manufacturer plans to start selling the device for about USD 650 by year-end, he said.
