Dutch MVNO Youfone has partnered with Huawei to offer a digital platform with access to live TV, VoD, apps and games, according to director Valentijn Rensing in an interview with Nutech. The company expects to launch the platform by April next year, with a basic subscription at EUR 10 per month.

This will include 20 live channels via apps, Apple TV and Chromecast. Catch-up will be available for up to a week for the public and main commercial channels. Smaller channels can be added a la carte, and the video-on-demand plan will cost EUR 2.50 per month. The company also plans a bigger package with set-top box for EUR 15 per month. Rensing said the company is also in talks with Netflix and Amazon, although negotiations are at an early stage.

Youfone plans to partner with KPN to use its network to offer broadband services. A package of broadband and the TV platform will cost around EUR 35 per month. The company plans to target 18-39 year-olds with the offer.
