Young Germans want tablets for Christmas - study

More than a quarter of young people aged 14 to 29 in Germany want a tablet for Christmas, according to a TNS Infratest study cited on tariftipp.de. Various entertainment applications as well as productive work and the availability of educational offers play a key role for young people. The most popular applications are surfing the internet (67%), using music or video services (65%); games were only used by 34 percent of the young people asked. For youths aged 14 to 21, tablets rank second after mobile phones and ahead of desktop PCs, notebooks and wearables.
