Young home owners open to smart home services

Smart home applications such as remote-controlled shutters or heating systems have a high market potential among German property owners. About half of them are interested in digital energy services, especially young property owners. According to the YouGov study on sales opportunities for energy services, between 55 and 78 percent of those aged between 18 and 34 are interested depending on the service, whereas the percentage drop to between 34 and 50 percent in the age bracket 45 to 54. The most popular applications are those increasing security and the comfort of living, such as motion
