YouTube sets stricter ad rules to prevent inappropriate content

Google's YouTube network has announced more restrictive rules for video creators hoping to be compensated for their work in response to advertiser concerns about their messages appearing alongside inappropriate content on the video platform. New creators applying to the YouTube Partner Programme now need to have accumulated 4,000 hours of video watch-time for their videos over the past 12 months and have 1,000 subscribers to be eligible to earn advertising revenue from their channels.
