YouTube signs media deals for ad-free service - report

YouTube has reached agreements with several large media companies for a planned ad-free subscription service, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. Turner, Fox Sports, A+E Networks and NBCUniversal have already signed up and negotiations continue with other media companies, including Walt Disney. YouTube reportedly told media companies that it intends to charge around USD 10 a month for a bundle of video content and music. Content creators are expected to collectively receive 55 percent of the overall revenue generator. Each creator or company will receive a portion of
