Zamani Com secures LTE licence for Orange Niger subsidiary

The government of Niger has approved a draft decree awarding an LTE licence for XOF 12 billion to Zamani Com, the company that acquired Orange Niger from Orange in November 2019. It has also agreed to extend the operator's 2G/3G licence for another fifteen years, the same duration as the new LTE licence. The operator will pay the government an additional XOF 28.4 billion for this extension.
