Zambia takes action over poor mobile service quality

The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has filed criminal cases against the country's three mobile network operators, Airtel Networks Zambia, MTN Zambia and Zambia Telecommunication (Zamtel), for allegedly providing poor quality mobile services, reports PTI citing spokesperson Ngabo Nankond. On 04 July, ZICTA initiated criminal proceedings against them for failing to meet minimum standards of quality of service, said Nankond in a statement.
