Zantel donates TZS 5 mln for public awareness of albinism

Tanzanian operator Zantel has donated TZS 5 million as part of its support for the Tanzania Albino Society (TAS), to promote awareness of albinism. Zantel and TAS will invest in educating the public through bulk SMS and using media programmes. The communication firm will also provide different platforms such as staff meetings and concerts to ensure visibility of albinism. Zantel CEO Pratap Ghose said their donation aimed to support albinos as part of the firm's corporate social responsibility (CSR).
