Ziggo, KPN lose more broadband customers in Q1 as competition bites

Wednesday 19 May 2021 | 07:03 CET | News
The biggest ISPs in the Netherlands continued to lose customers in Q1, due to tough competition from challengers like T-Mobile and a stagnating market, according to research by Telecompaper. Market leader Ziggo lost subscribers for a third consecutive quarter in Q1, and number-two KPN also lost customers again, as the contraction in the DSL market offset strong growth in fibre. T-Mobile Netherlands was again the main winner, but also saw a seasonal slowdown.
