Ziggo rolls out modem with support for up to 500 Mbps

Wednesday 11 March 2015 | 10:24 CET | News
Ziggo has started distributing a Technicolor modem that can support download speeds up to 500 Mbps. A spokesman for the cable operator said that this does not mean it will offer the faster speed, and no decision has been taken yet on the matter. It is testing higher speeds internally and has reached as much as 1 Gbps. The operator's current maximum speed on the market is 200 Mbps, the same as its merger partner UPC.
