Ziggo to boost security on Wifispots

Ziggo plans to increase security on its 1.2 million WiFispots. CEO Rene Obermann will outline the plans at a press conference on 30 June. The same day Ziggo will organise a hackathon where developers will be invited to test the new security measures and make their own suggestions for improving the service. Ziggo has around half a million active users for the Wi-Fi hotspots, which are based on shared access to home routers as well as a number of public hotspots.
