Ziggo to raise prices, drop free on-net calls from April

Dutch cable operator Ziggo has announced tariff changes from 01 April, including an end to free on-net calls. From April, customers will pay EUR 0.09 per minute plus a EUR 0.09 set-up fee for calls to other Ziggo fixed-line customers. This follows a similar move by UPC, which dropped free on-net calls from the start of this year. Ziggo, which just approved a takeover by UPC's parent Liberty Global, said it's following developments in the market with the change in pricing.
