Zimbabwe asks IFC to advise on NetOne, TelOne privatisaion

Zimbabwe has engaged the World Bank's International Finance Corporation (IFC) as transaction advisor on the proposed privatisation of its telecommunications companies NetOne and TelOne, after canceling a contract with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Business Weekly reported. TelOne, the country's sole fixed telephone company and NetOne, the country's second largest operator, are among state-controlled entities earmarked for privatisation by the government as it seeks to improve its finances.
