Zimbabwean govt plans to set up 15 base stations in 2020 in under-served locations

The Zimbabwean government has expressed commitment to expanding mobile telephone network coverage across the country, with fifteen more base stations expected to be constructed this year. Deputy ICT minister Dingumuzi Phuthi said the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) universal services fund caters for low coverage areas and this year,  the government plans to deploy fifteen base stations in under-serviced areas.
