Zimbabwean payment service providers must declare locations of points of sale

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has issued a directive to mobile money and other financial services providers to declare the locations of access points and related devices, including Point of Sale (POS) machines, mobile money agents and ATMs, ITWeb reported. The country has become increasingly reliant upon mobile money and other digital finance platforms because of a cash crunch. As a result, banks have reinforced the deployment of POS machines and mobile money platforms in a bid to increase the number of mobile money agents.
