ZTE, Republic of San Marino officially launch telecom venture

China's ZTE and the Republic of San Marino have officially launched their joint venture to develop an open access telecommunications infrastructure throughout the mini state following the MoU signed earlier this year. During a presentation attended by San Marino president Andrea Zafferani, ZTE Western Europe president Hu Kun and China's Italian ambassador Li Ruiyu the partners outlined plans to set up an open access mobile network supported by a fibre-optic backbone to boost telecom services, while working together on innovative services and preparing for San Marino's participation in Expo
