ZTE stops crowdfunding campaign for eye-tracking smartphone
ZTE announced it's abandoning its Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to develop a smartphone with eye-tracking technology. The company said that based on feedback from consumers, both on Kickstarter and its own Z-Community forum, it's decided to "phase out" this campaign and to re-evaluate the device selected for its Project CSX through public voting.

The company said on a Kickstarter that many consumers had asked for the eye-tracking technology to be implemented on a higher-specification phone than the one proposed by ZTE. "We’ve heard you loud and clear as we are reevaluating the device features that are implemented in to the device," ZTE said. This pushes back the timeline of the project, leading to the decision to end the current crowdfunding campaign. The company had originally hoped to shop the first device in Q3.
