ZTE triples overload capacity of wireless access in 5G tests

Wednesday 15 April 2015 | 14:18 CET | News
ZTE has announced that recent tests have revealed that its new Multi-User Shared Access (MUSA) technology is able to more than triple overload capacity of wireless access networks. The company said its MUSA algorithm delivered an improvement of over 200 percent in the overload radio, a level of performance that would help to transition networks towards the IoT era. MUSA is one of ZTE's ongoing research projects into the Pre5G concept, which will use some key 5G technologies on existing 4G user equipment. ZTE said it expects its Pre5G technologies to be commercially rolled out in 2015.
