ZTE wins contract to deploy 4G network for Wind Telecom

Chinese telecoms equipment manufacturer ZTE has won a contract from Wind Telecom to build a 4G TD-LTE network in the Dominican Republic. The Chinese firm said that the deployment of its unified platform EPC and eNodeB solutions, based on ZTE's proprietary Cloud Radio technology, will enable Wind Telecom to achieve savings in capital expenditure, and operation and maintenance costs. Wind Telecom provides telecoms and pay-TV services in the Dominican Republic.
