Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave a speech over the weekend at the Munich Security Conference and acknowledged that social media companies need more regulation and guidance from governments to fight the problem of harmful and false online content, various media reported from the event. He said he supported state regulations in four fields, namely, elections, political discourse, privacy and data portability. "We don't want private companies making so many decision-balancing social equities without democratic processes," the CEO said, as cited by the Guardian.
