Amazon launches new Echo Show speaker

Amazon has officially unveiled its new Echo speaker, called Echo Show. The device is available to order from Amazon at USD 299.99. It will start shipping from 28 June.

The device allows people to make internet-based video calls between devices and apps, while the 7-inch touch screen will bring visual answers to verbal questions. The new device has been in beta testing for a few months.

The current Echo speaker, which doesn’t have a screen, usually sells for USD 179.99, although it is currently on sale for USD 149.99.
