Amazon to show 'The Grand Tour' series in over 200 countries

Amazaon has announced that its new original TV series 'The Grand Tour', featuring the former presenters of 'Top Gear', will launch around the world in December. The new series will start 18 November and initially be available only in the countries where Amazon Prime Video is available - the UK, US, Germany, Austria and Japan. In a YouTube video, the presenters of the show - Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May - announced that it would also be available to watch on Amazon in over 200 countries from December, including catch-up of the earlier episodes. 

To mark the launch of the show, Amazon is offering new Prime customers a 20 percent discount on its membership fee for the first year, resulting in a fee of USD 79. The the one-day discount will be available only on 18 November, from 12.00am (ET) to 11.59 pm (PT).

Amazon is also announcing the launch of 'The Grand Tour' skill for Alexa-enabled devices including the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot. In the skill, customers will receive a new clue every Thursday about what to watch for in the upcoming episode of the series, and new trivia each Saturday. Fans who answer all three questions right will unlock exclusive video content. US customers who enable and use the skill between 19 November and 22 December will be entered in a weekly random drawing for a chance to receive a USD 25 gift card from Amazon.com.

Customers will also be able to engage with 'The Grand Tour' presenters via specially-recorded alarms and additional content.
