Amazon launches Prime Video in over 200 countries

Amazon has confirmed that its Prime Video streaming service is now available in over 200 countries around the world. The company hinted at the plans last month at the premier of its new programme 'The Grand Tour' and has now confirmed the full streaming video service will be available, including its own original series.

Customers can sign up for a Prime Video membership at PrimeVideo.com and watch on Android and iOS phones and tablets, Fire Tablets and LG and Samsung smart TVs. Existing Amazon Prime members in Belgium, Canada, France, India, Italy and Spain can start watching at no additional cost to their Amazon Prime membership, while customers in other countries can sign up at an introductory price of USD 2.99/EUR 2.99 per month for the first six months. All new customers receive a free 7-day trial of the service.

Amazon said it's offering programmes with French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish subtitles to start, as well as dubbed versions for many titles. Films and TV series are also available for download for offline viewing at no additional cost. Prime Video members can also control how much data they use when streaming and downloading video by choosing between Good, Better and Best visual quality settings.
