
Apple confirms iPad 2 launch in 25 countries on 25 March

Apple confirmed it will launch the iPad 2 in another 25 countries on 25 March. The iPad 2 will be available at Apple retail stores and select resellers at 17.00hrs local time and online through the Apple website beginning at 01.00 hrs. Apple also announced that all models of the iPad 2 will be available in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and additional countries in April. The Wi-Fi version of the iPad 2 will be available from 25 March in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK for a suggested retail price of USD 499 for the 16GB model, USD 599 for the 32GB model and USD 699 the 64GB model. The iPad 2 with Wi-Fi and 3G will be available for a suggested retail price of USD 629 for the 16GB model, USD 729 for the 32GB model and USD 829 for the 64GB model. Further international availability and pricing will be announced at a later date. The iPad 2 first went on sale in the US on 11 March.
