Apple to bring HomePod to Canada, France, Germany from 18 June

Apple announced that its HomePod speaker will be available in Canada, France and Germany from 18 June. The company is also rolling out a software update to support pairing HomePods and creating a multi-room audio system. The latter is based on the iOS 11.4 update, which uses AirPlay 2 to play music in any room from any room, using an iOS device, HomePod, Apple TV or by asking Siri. 

The HomePod first launched in February in the US, UK and Australia. The device is available in white or grey for a recommended price of USD 349.

Apple plans to open a new shop in Paris during November, designed to become its most prestigious retail store in the country, reports LCI. While work on this project is ongoing, the company is planning the closure of one its existing shops in the capital, located in the Carrousel du Louvre commercial centre.

Tevens rolt het bedrijf een software update uit voor de ondersteuning van het pairen van HomePods en multi-room audio. De laatste is gebaseerd op de update iOS 11.4, dat gebruik maakt van AirPlay 2 om muziek in elk vertrek te kunnen afspelen. Apple lanceerde HomePod afgelopen februari allereerst in de VS, het VK en Australië. Het device komt in wit of grijs voor een adviesprijs van 349 dollar.

Australian operator Telstra has launched Apple's HomePod, a smart speaker controlled by the voice assistant Siri, on the local market. Apple's HomePod, a smart speaker controlled by the voice assistant Siri, will finally go on sale 09 February, the company announced. First announced last June, the HomePod was expected to go on sale before the end of 2017, but Apple delayed the launch to 2018 to fine-tine the new product.
