Apple to unveil new iPhone on 12 September - report

Apple is preparing to introduce the next version of the iPhone on 12 September, two people with knowledge of the company's plans told Bloomberg. Reuters reported the same date for the launch of the next month, after the website iMore first reported on the launch. According to the site, the phone will be in stores nine days later, on 21 September. A new smaller iPad and a new version of the iPod nano are also expected to be announced at the 12 September event, although release dates for these were not yet known. The new iPhone will have a larger screen of around 4 inches and thinner body, work with LTE networks and the new nano Sim format, and include a smaller dock connector, according to the reports. Apple declined to comment.
