AT&T merges ad unit Xandr into WarnerMedia
AT&T announced plans to merge its advertising unit Xandr into WarnerMedia to create what it describes as “a better advertising value proposition for brands, publishers and consumers alike.” The company acquired ad-tech firm AppNexus in 2018, subsequently renaming it Xandr. As part of the move, Kirk McDonald, Chief Business Officer, Xandr will continue to lead Xandr, reporting directly to Gerhard Zeiler, WarnerMedia’s chief revenue officer and international president, who will now oversee all advertising responsibilities across AT&T.

By combining with WarnerMedia, Xandr will continue to offer advanced media and technology solutions, including Addressable video and a premium advertising marketplace powered by the Xandr Invest platform for buyers and the Xandr Monetize platform for sellers, said AT&T.
