Base unveils own Android smartphone, made by ZTE
KPN's German subsidiary E-Plus flatrate brand Base has unveiled its own smartphone called lutea, which will be available from December of this year. The Base lutea includes a 5 Megapixel camera, 3.5 inch touch screen and integrated GPS receiver and is based on the Android operating system. The device also offers a 2 GB microSD storage card for storing content and was developed by Chinese telecommunications manufacturer ZTE. The Base Lutea can be used in combination with the Base Internet Flat Inklusive tariff costing EUR 14 per month including 200 MB at HSDPA speeds plus a Mein Base tariff. The tariffs have a minimal contract period of 24 months.
