BlackBerry resumes roll-out of BBM app for Android, iPhone
BlackBerry has resumed the roll-out of its Android and iPhone apps for BlackBerry Messenger. The app is available free on Google Play, the App Store and in select regions for the Samsung App Store. The company said about 6 million people signed up for information about the BBM apps before their release.

It was earlier forced to delay the launch, after an early release attracted higher than expected demand. This time around BlackBerry has started a queuing system for activation of the service, where users who download the app must email the company and await activation to start using the service.

Those who signed up early will not have to wait for activation. In the first day of the new launch, the apps were downloaded over 10 million times, BlackBerry said.
