Comcast combines LTE, Wi-Fi in new Xfinity Mobile
Comcast has introduced Xfinity Mobile, a new mobile service combining the operator's LTE network with its 16 million Wi-Fi hot-spots. People adding Xfinity Mobile to their Xfinity Internet service will automatically get five lines, with no line access fees, plus unlimited talk and text and the first 100 MB of share LTE data included. Customers will only pay for the gigabytes they use and will be able to easily switch back-and-forth between data plans via the Xfinity Mobile app, at no cost.

Prices will go to USD 65 per line for up to five lines with no usage limits, or USD 45 per line for customers with top X1 packages. Each GB of data across all lines will be priced at USD 12. Families can mix-and-match on an account and easily switch between data options. So for example, if customers find that they've used more data on a "By the Gig" option one month, they can switch to "Unlimited" for that month, then switch back the next month with no penalties.

Xfinity Mobile users will also be automatically signed into other Xfinity apps, for live TV or on Demand content with the Xfinity Stream app, or for controlling home devices with the Xfinity Home app. Customers will be billed to their credit card, they will have access to customer service 24/7, and be able to use their Xfinity Mobile app to view data use and call logs in real time, manage payment options, switch back-and-forth between data options, order a new device or add additional lines.

Finally, subscribers will be able to couple the deal with the latest smartphones, including the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (including the special RED Edition), the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and the iPhone SE. Xfinity Mobile said it will also feature the best devices from Samsung and LG.
