Congstar to sell Firefox OS smartphone in Germany
Deutsche Telekom's discount brand Congstar will sell a new Firefox OS smartphone from October. The Alcatel One Touch Fire model will be targeted at new smartphone users and will be exclusively marketed in Germany through Congstar. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks. In July Deutsche Telekom launched the phone in Poland and said it would also bring the device to Hungary and Greece.

Movistar launches Firefox phones in Venezuela

Telefonica has launched the first smartphones running the Firefox OS from Mozilla in Venezuela. Telefonica also provides Firefox OS smartphones in Spain and Colombia, and plans to make them available in Brazil in the fourth quarter. Deutsche Telekom is starting sales of the new mobile Firefox OS with the launch of the Alcatel One Touch Fire in Europe.
