DeTe pushes ahead with sale of T-Online - report

Deutsche Telekom is pressing ahead with selling T-Online, and mandated French major bank BNP Paribas in Frankfurt to find a buyer, Spiegelonline.de reports. The bank created a 30-page sales prospectus and sent it to almost ten interested parties. The first informal talks became known in December, amongst others with the Axel Springer publishing group. Telekom expects to take a decision by early summer. The company is currently spinning off T-Online into an independent company, and contracts that regulate further cooperation with the parent company are being drawn up. The sale is complicated because a buyer will be bound to these contracts and other ways Telekom wants to protect the trademark T-Online.
